How To Make Earl Grey Tea Cookies

Soft, delicate cookies infused with the subtle flavor of Earl Grey tea.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp loose leaf Earl Grey tea
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Mix in the Earl Grey tea and vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually add in the flour and mix until just combined.

  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.

  6. Gently press down on each ball to flatten it slightly.

  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
