How To Make Buttermilk Doughnuts

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Drop spoonfuls of the doughnut batter into the hot oil, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the doughnuts from the oil and drain on paper towels.
