Serves:
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup ground almonds
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
-
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
-
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, ground almonds, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
-
In a small bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and milk until smooth.
-
Divide the blondie batter in half. Pour one half into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Add the cocoa mixture to the remaining batter and stir until well combined. Pour this chocolate batter over the plain batter in the pan.
-
Use a knife to create a marbled pattern by gently swirling the two batters together.
-
Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the top.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
-
Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
-
Serve and enjoy!
