Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the vanilla extract and almond extract, and mix well.

  4. Gradually add the flour and ground almonds, and mix until the dough comes together.

  5. Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

  6. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet.

  9. Once slightly cooled, transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Dust the cooled cookies with powdered sugar before serving.
