How To Make Gochujang Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine Gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and water. Stir well until all the ingredients are incorporated.

  2. Heat a small saucepan over medium heat and add the Gochujang mixture. Bring to a simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer the sauce to a jar or container.

  4. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
