How To Make Pizza Dough

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 envelope (or 2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, mixing well with a wooden spoon or your hands.

Once the dough starts to come together, transfer it to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).

Punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin circle or desired shape.

Place the rolled dough on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.

Add your favorite toppings and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are cooked to your liking.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
