How To Make In-N-Out Animal Style Protein Style Burger Recipe
A healthier version of In-N-Out’s famous burger with protein style lettuce wrap and secret spread sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of low-fat cheddar cheese
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions

Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

Divide ground beef into 4 balls and flatten into patties.

Season both sides of each patty with salt and black pepper.

Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until desired doneness.

On a separate skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions until caramelized.

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, sugar, paprika, and garlic powder to create the secret spread sauce.

To assemble the burger, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom, followed by the patty, cheese, caramelized onions, and secret spread sauce.

Top with another lettuce leaf and enjoy!
