How To Make Poached Chicken Breast

Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer.

Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, lemon slices, and fresh thyme to the pot.

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then carefully place them in the simmering broth.

Cover the pot and let the chicken breasts poach for 15-20 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Remove the cooked chicken breasts from the poaching liquid and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
