How To Make Chicken Sausage and Peppers Pasta Recipe

A flavorful and hearty pasta dish with garlic chicken sausage, bell peppers, and a tomato-based sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 4 garlic chicken sausages, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausages and cook for 5-7 minutes or until browned on both sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the onion, garlic, and bell peppers. Cook for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

  4. Add the can of diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Add the cooked sausage back into the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Toss together until everything is well combined.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
