How To Make Baked Scotch Eggs

Ingredients
- 4 hard-boiled eggs
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- Vegetable oil for baking
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Peel the hard-boiled eggs and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions.

Take one portion of meat and flatten it in your palm.

Place a hard-boiled egg in the center and gently wrap the meat around the egg, making sure it’s completely covered. Repeat with the remaining eggs and meat.

Roll each meat-covered egg in flour, dip it in beaten egg, and then coat it with bread crumbs.

Place the coated eggs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Lightly brush each egg with vegetable oil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and browned.

Serve the baked Scotch eggs hot or at room temperature.
