How To Make Lower Sugar Cookies
A delicious cookie recipe with reduced sugar content.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar substitute
- 1/4 cup brown sugar substitute
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar substitute, and brown sugar substitute until light and fluffy.

Beat in the vanilla extract and egg until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chopped nuts, if desired.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
