  • 1 cup of butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of finely ground almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, powdered sugar, and almond extract until light and fluffy.

  3. Gradually add in the flour and ground almonds, mixing until well combined.

  4. Roll the dough into a log shape and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  5. Slice the chilled dough into 1/4 inch thick rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.

  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
