How To Make Chickpea Curry Recipe
A rich, aromatic and flavorful Indian curry dish made with chickpeas and spices.

Ingredients
- 2 cans of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp of ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp of ground cumin
- 1 tsp of ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp of garam masala
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of water
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
Instructions

Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn translucent.

Add garlic and ginger and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Add tomatoes and cook until they start to break down, stirring occasionally.

Add ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Add chickpeas and 1 cup of water. Stir well to combine. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

Serve the chickpea curry hot with rice or flatbread. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro if desired.
