Ingredients

  • 1 whole duck
  • 4 clementines, peeled and segmented
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon five-spice powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Score the duck’s skin with a sharp knife and season with salt, pepper, and five-spice powder.

  3. Place the duck in a roasting pan and cook for 2 hours, or until the skin is crispy and golden.

  4. In a small saucepan, heat the soy sauce and honey together until well combined.

  5. Brush the sauce over the duck during the last 15 minutes of cooking.

  6. In a separate saucepan, gently heat the clementine segments until warm.

  7. Serve the crispy duck with the warm clementines on the side.
