Ingredients
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Manchego cheese
Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced almonds and toast until golden brown and fragrant, stirring frequently. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

Add the trimmed asparagus to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes, until the asparagus is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.

Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the grated Manchego cheese over the sautéed asparagus. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt for about 2 minutes.

Transfer the sautéed asparagus to a serving dish and sprinkle with the toasted almonds. Serve hot.
