How To Make Turkey & Potato Taquitos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 small flour tortillas
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Sour cream, for serving
  • Salsa, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.

  2. In a bowl, combine the cooked turkey, mashed potatoes, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. Take a tortilla and place a spoonful of the turkey and potato mixture in the center. Roll it tightly and secure with a toothpick. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

  4. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the taquitos in batches until crispy and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  5. Serve the turkey and potato taquitos with sour cream and salsa.
