How To Make Cinnamon Roll Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- for the cinnamon sugar topping:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the cinnamon sugar topping.

Roll the chilled dough into small balls and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until lightly golden brown on the edges.
