How To Make Kaju Katli

A traditional Indian sweet made with cashews that has a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cashews, ground into a fine powder
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of ghee (clarified butter)

Instructions

  1. In a pan, mix sugar and water. Heat it on a medium flame till the sugar dissolves completely.

  2. Add the ground cashew powder and ghee to the sugar syrup. Mix well.

  3. Cook this mixture on a low flame, stirring continuously.

  4. Once the mixture thickens and starts leaving the edges of the pan, turn off the flame.

  5. Pour the mixture onto a greased plate and let it cool down completely.

  6. Cut the cooled mixture into diamond-shaped pieces.
