This chocolate banana mousse combines the fresh flavor of banana with mouth-watering chocolate for a sweet summer treat.

Ingredients
5¼ozbittersweet chocolatechopped
14ozheavy creamcold
3pasteurized egg whiteslarge
1ozbrown sugar
3tbspunsalted butter
2bananasmashed
To Serve:
whipped cream
chocolate sprinkles
bananassliced
Instructions
In a large bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter. Mix until evenly incorporated. Set aside.
Beat the cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside. Make sure the cream is cold.
Using a mixer, beat the eggs until peaks form. Add the sugar and continue whipping.
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a bowl and use a whisk to fold in all the egg whites. Fold in the whipped cream. Fold in the bananas.
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
Serve with whipped cream, sliced bananas, and chocolate sprinkles.
Recipe Notes
Top it off with some chocolate drizzle or go lavish with chocolate pieces and chopped nuts. For extra texture, you can even cut up some raspberries or strawberries and mix them in before piping the mousse into the glass.
