Ingredients
vegetable oilfor frying
2eggsbeaten
¾cupall-purpose flour
1tsponion powder
½tspMSG
¼tspblack pepper
⅛tspgarlic powder
10ozchicken breast filletsboneless, skin off, diced
To Serve:
3tbspbarbecue sauce
3tbspketchup
For Garnish:
salt and pepper
Instructions
Preheat the frying oil to 375 degrees F.
Combine the flour, black pepper, MSG, onion powder and garlic powder in a zip lock bag. Shake until well incorporated.
Place the chicken in the zip lock bag and shake to coat them with the flour mixture.
Remove and dip the pieces in the egg mixture.
Put the pieces in the bag again and shake to add another coat of the flour mixture.
Deep-fry at 375 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes, until browned and crispy.
Remove from oil and drain well before serving.
Serve with barbecue sauce and ketchup, then garnish with salt and pepper. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
After draining the nuggets, place them on some kitchen towels to absorb any excess oil.Putting the chicken pieces in a zip lock bag and shaking to coat them in the flour mixture allows you to evenly coat each piece and it's a lot more efficient. Individually coating each piece might result in an uneven or lumpy coat which will affect the taste and appearance of your nuggets
