Ingredients
1
pc
Granny Smith apples
peeled, cored, and sliced into wedges ¼-inch thick pieces
2
cans
crescent dinner rolls
unrolled
½
cup
granulated sugar
1
cup
brown sugar
divided

Sprite
(1 can)
½
cup
unsalted butter
or margarine, melted
For Serving:
honey
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking casserole with a cooking spray.
Mix ½ cup of brown sugar and apple slices.
Wrap each apple into a crescent roll.
Put the wrapped apples into the baking casserole with the flat side down.
In a bowl, mix the granulated sugar and brown sugar together.
Spread the mixture evenly over the dumplings.
Carefully pour the butter or margarine over the dumplings.
Pour the sprite only around the edges of the casserole.
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until they have browned well.
Once done, serve some warm apple dumplings drizzled with honey and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
You can try sprinkling cinnamon or nutmeg over the dumplings to add more flavor.
