Water Chestnut and Vegetable Stir-Fry Recipe

How To Make Water Chestnut and Vegetable Stir-Fry

A quick and flavorful stir-fry with refreshing water chestnuts and colorful vegetables.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 can of sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 2 cups of mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, snow peas)
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp of grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp of cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and swirl to coat the pan.

  2. Add the garlic and ginger and stir for 10 seconds.

  3. Add the mixed vegetables and stir for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add the water chestnuts and cook for another minute.

  5. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of water.

  6. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir well.

  7. Cook for another minute or until the sauce thickens.

  8. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  9. Sprinkle with green onions and serve hot with rice.
