How To Make Water Chestnut and Tofu Stir-Fry

A light, crunchy, and flavorful stir fry dish made with water chestnuts and tofu.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
  • 1 can of sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the cubed tofu and fry for 5 minutes, or until golden brown.

  3. Add the sliced peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir fry for 5 minutes, or until tender.

  4. Add the sliced water chestnuts to the skillet and continue to stir fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve hot with rice.
