How To Make Water Chestnut and Broccoli Stir-Fry Recipe

A healthy and quick stir-fry with the goodness of water chestnuts and the crunch of broccoli.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a wok or pan.

  2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Add onion and bell pepper and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add broccoli and water chestnuts and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch, vegetable broth, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.

  6. Pour the mixture into the wok and stir to coat the veggies.

  7. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

  9. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
