How To Make Vodka Sauce
Make this vodka sauce creamy by adding heavy cream to become a nice backdrop to the sweet, spicy, and sour flavors and the nice smooth kick from the vodka.

Ingredients
- ½cupunsalted butter
- 1yellow onion,chopped
- ½tspkosher salt
- ¼tspcoarse ground black pepper
- ¼tspred pepper flakes,crushed
- 1cupvodka
- 56oztomatoes,canned,crushed
- 2cupsheavy cream
Instructions

Melt butter in dutch oven on medium heat with onions, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper flakes on medium heat.

Cook for 6 to 8 minutes until onions just start to caramelize.

Add in vodka and cook for 15 minutes.

Add in the crushed tomatoes and stir well until butter is mixed in.

Bring to a boil on high heat then reduce back to medium heat and cook for 30 minutes.

Stir in heavy cream and cook an additional 30 minutes.
