Tonkatsu is a breaded pork dish from Japan. This tonkatsu sauce recipe will teach you how to make its accompanying sauce, which really completes the dish.

  • 1⁄2 cup tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated white sugar
  • 1⁄8 tsp salt
  • 1⁄2 cup warm sake


  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Stir the ingredients using a spoon.
  3. Place the bowl in a microwave oven and then microwave for 15 to 20 seconds.
  4. Stir once more and then serve with Tonkatsu.
