How To Make Vanilla Syrup Recipe

A sweet and flavorful syrup perfect for adding to coffee or drizzling on pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, vanilla bean, and vanilla extract.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sugar has dissolved and mixture has thickened.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

  5. Remove vanilla bean and transfer syrup to a glass jar for storage.
