How To Make Sausage Queso Dip

You’ll have your guests coming back for seconds with this easy queso dip. It’s loaded with sausage, tomatoes, and jalapenos, plus a hint of hot sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8ozsausage
  • 1small onion,diced
  • 2tbspflour
  • ½tspcumin
  • 12ozevaporated milk,(1 can)
  • 12ozdiced tomatoes with chiles,(1 can)
  • 4ozjalapeños,diced, drained
  • 2ozcream cheese
  • 1tsphot sauce
  • 2cupssharp cheddar cheese,grated
  • pico de gallo,for garnish
  • tortilla chips,for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage and onions in a 10-inch skillet. Drain any fat.

  2. Add flour and cumin and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

  3. Add evaporated milk, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.

  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, jalapenos, cream cheese, and hot sauce. Cook until melted and heated through for about 2 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until smooth.

  6. Garnish with pico de gallo and serve with tortilla chips.
