  • 14.5oztomato sauce,(1 can)
  • 3tbsptomato paste
  • 1garlic clove,finely minced
  • 1tbspfresh basil,chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2tspdried oregano
  • 1tsponion powder
  • ½tspdried marjoram
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • pinchcayenne
  • red wine,optional


  1. Combine the tomato sauce and paste, garlic, basil, oregano, onion powder, marjoram, salt, cayenne, and red wine in a small saucepan.

  2. Cook over medium heat until bubbles begin to rise at the surface. Reduce the heat, cover, and let simmer for another 15 minutes.
