Nancy LaVecchia Before I made an account, this showed a 1 star rating with no review attached. However, after making the account, it no longer shows.... I don't understand why this has one star there's no reviews attached to this thread at all. I made this recipe, but I halved it because I only had six (Macintosh) apples. I was intrigued despite the one-star review, because I don't like to cook my fruit or vegetables for anything that I don't have to. I didn't feel like getting out my big blender, so I just used my stick hand blender. The result was delicious and really easy to do. For me the only change I had to make was to put in only a quarter cup (half of the water called for) of water because my apples work extremely juicy. I don't know, possibly because I use the stick blender; that could have made a difference to I suppose. But then whenever I add anything like that I always add a little, and then I see if it needs more. Maybe tomorrow after it sits in the refrigerator overnight I might need to add a little, but I kind of doubt it looks perfect taste scrumptious I can't understand why anyone would want to take hours, to cook the goodness out of apples and waste all that time, when this is soooo easy and delicious. THIS IS DEFINITELY A KEEPER! Reply
