  • 1cupbasil leaves,firmly packed
  • 1cupparsley,firmly packed, or spinach or other herbs
  • ½cupParmesan cheese,grated, or Romano cheese
  • ¼cuppine nuts,or walnuts or almonds
  • 1largegarlic clove,quartered
  • ¼tspsalt
  • ¼cupolive oil

Instructions

  1. Place the herbs in a food processor. Pour in 1 tablespoon of oil and blend into a paste.

  2. Gradually add the remaining ingredients in order, scraping as needed. Blend until smooth.
