How To Make Homemade Caramel Sauce

This caramel sauce is super easy to make and will be ready in just 16 minutes. You can drizzle it over ice cream, pastries, or even salads.

Ingredients

  • 1cupwhite sugar
  • 4tbspcorn syrup,like Karo
  • 2tbspwater
  • ½cupheavy cream
  • 1tbspbutter
  • 1tspvanilla
  • pinchsalt

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

  3. Allow the mixture to boil until the liquid reaches an amber color for 15 minutes.

  4. Once the mixture has reached a nice amber color, remove from heat.

  5. While stirring, slowly pour in the cream.

  6. Stir in the butter, vanilla, and salt.

  7. Serve over ice cream or other desired desserts, and enjoy!
