
How To Make Furikake Seasoning
Using Furikake Seasoning is a very easy way to pump up simple snacks, entrees, and appetizers. Add it to proteins or snacks for a fun twist!

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp white sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 tbsp black sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 nori sheets
- 1 tsp sugar, or more
- 1ā2 tsp sea salt, or more
Optional Flavorings:
- 2 tbsp bonito flakes
- 2 tbsp dried shrimp
- 3 tsp dried shiso leaves, or other similar herbs
- 1ā2 tsp ichimi togarashi, also known as Japanese chili peppers, for spice
- 1ā2 tsp wasabi powder, for spice
Instructions
- Using kitchen shears or a knife, cut the nori sheets into small, thin pieces, or crumble them by hand.
- Add the nori pieces, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, sugar, and salt to a bowl. Mix everything together.
- Serve and enjoy! Sprinkle a few teaspoons of furikake on rice, ramen, udon noodles, french fries, or any protein like chicken or salmon.
