This is a hearty dip with chunks of beef in it–very filling.

How To Make Dried Beef and Cheese Dip

  • 1 lb. round bread (any type)
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 oz. dried beef (chopped)
  • 1/3 cup green chilies (chopped )
  • 1/2 cup green onions (chopped )
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut the top off of the round bread loaf.
  3. Scoop out the bread from the inside of the loaf to hollow it out, leave 1/2 inch or so of the outside for the “bowl”.
  4. Set aside the top of the loaf and the insides.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix together the Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, dried beef, chili peppers, green onions and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Spoon the dip into bread bowl and replace top of the loaf.
  7. Wrap the bread bowl with heavy duty foil and bake in the preheated oven for 90 minutes.
  8. Cut the bread scooped from the inside to bite-size pieces and serve with the dip, plus crackers or bagel pieces.
