
How To Make Applesauce with Dried Cranberries
Level up your usual applesauce with an extra flavor and sweetness from dried cranberries, with an added zesty hint from lemon juice plus lemon zest!

Ingredients
- 2¼lbsMcIntosh apples
- 2tbspfresh lemon juice
- 3stripslemon zest,(1×3-inch)
- ½cupsugar
- ½cupsparkling apple cider
- ½cupdried cranberries
Instructions

In a large saucepan, bring the apples, lemon juice and zest, sugar, sparkling cider, and cranberries to a boil.

Cover and simmer over moderately low heat for 20 minutes until the apples soften. Stir to break up the apples slightly.

Transfer to a bowl; discard the lemon zest.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
