How To Make Apple Pear Sauce with Cinnamon
This easy, chunky apple pear sauce is cooked in the microwave with cinnamon and maple syrup. Serve as a sweet topping or pair with a roast!

- 4Cortland apples,peeled, cored, and chopped
- 2Golden Delicious apples,peeled, cored, and chopped
- 2Bartlett pears,peeled, cored, and chopped
- ¼cupwater
- ½tspground cinnamon
- 1pinchground nutmeg,optional
- 2tbspmaple syrup
Instructions

Combine Cortland apples, Golden Delicious apples, and Bartlett pears together in a large, microwave-safe bowl. Add water, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the apple-pear mixture and toss to coat.

Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap and cut a 1-inch slot in the center of the plastic wrap to allow steam to escape.

Cook apple mixture in the microwave on high for 10 minutes. Carefully remove and discard plastic wrap. Stir apple mixture.

Cook in the microwave on high for another 6 minutes until the fruit is hot and tender.

Stir maple syrup into fruit mixture. Cool completely before refrigerating.
