How To Make Thanksgiving Mac and Cheese Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 oz macaroni noodles
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Cook macaroni noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.

  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  4. Whisk in flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until smooth.

  5. Gradually whisk in milk until mixture thickens.

  6. Add in shredded cheeses and stir until fully melted and combined.

  7. Season with salt and pepper.

  8. Fold in cooked macaroni noodles and stir until well coated.

  9. Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.

  10. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

  11. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
