How To Make Serrano Pepper and Cilantro Lime Rice

Delicious and spicy rice with a zesty kick of lime and fresh cilantro.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 Serrano pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt to taste
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring water to a boil and add rice, Serrano pepper, and salt. Cover and simmer on medium-low heat for 18 minutes.

  2. In a separate pan, heat olive oil and garlic on medium heat until fragrant.

  3. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir in the lime juice and cilantro. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
