Yakisoba Pan Recipe

 

Savor a carb-loaded bite in this yakisoba pan dish that stuffs soft hot dog buns with savory Japanese stir-fried noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil, neutral-flavored, such as vegetable, rice bran, canola, etc
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 11 oz yakisoba noodles, (2 packages)
  • 5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

For Serving:

  • aonori, (dried green seaweed)
  • pickled red ginger, (beni shoga or kizami beni shoga)
  • Japanese mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Make a slit on top or side of the bread and spread butter.

  2. Cut the yakisoba noodles in ½.

  3. Heat oil in a large frying pan or cast-iron skillet and cook yakisoba noodles while loosening them up.

  4. Season the noodles with Worcestershire sauce and oyster sauce. Mix all together and remove from the heat.
  5. Stuff the bread with yakisoba noodles. Sprinkle aonori and put a little bit of pickled red ginger in the center.

  6. Serve and enjoy.
