How To Make Clam and Cilantro Chowder
Creamy and flavorful chowder with tender clams and fresh cilantro.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 3 slices of bacon, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 2 cans of clams, drained
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/4 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove with slotted spoon and set aside.

In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until tender.

Add potatoes and chicken broth, bring to a boil, and then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Add clams (with juice) and milk to the pot. Allow to warm through.

In a small bowl, whisk flour with a bit of milk, and add it to the pot, stirring constantly until soup thickens.

Stir in cooked bacon and cilantro.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
