Try a deliciously grown-up preparation for those salmon fillets.
How To Make Sautéed Salmon with Whiskey Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1 salmon fillet , 12 oz (or two 6 oz fillets)
- salt
- pepper
- 1/4 cup Irish whiskey
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh tarragon, minced
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
- lime wedges
Instructions
-
Melt the butter in a medium-sized skillet. Add in shallot and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
-
Season the salmon with salt and pepper for flavor. Then sauté the salmon for 3 to 4 minutes per side.
-
Remove the salmon and plate (the salmon won't be completely cooked yet at this point). Add the whiskey, vinegar, and tarragon to the skillet and simmer for 1 minute.
-
Add in the whipping cream and season the salmon with salt and pepper. Return the salmon to the skillet and cover and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side. Then divide the salmon in half.
-
After dividing the salmon, arrange each half on 2 plates. Afterward, top them with sauce and serve them with lime wedges on the side. Enjoy!
