How To Make Ginger-Garlic Shrimp

Spicy ginger and garlic is infused in a tangy, reduced beer mix to yield this flavor-packed, plump, and juicy garlic shrimp dish!

Ingredients

  • 1fresh ginger
  • 2medium garlic cloves
  • 1tbsplemon zest,grated
  • lbslarge shrimp
  • 1tspkosher salt
  • ½cupWondra,or all-purpose flour
  • 3tbspolive oil
  • ½cupbeer
  • 2tbspunsalted butter,cold

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine ginger, garlic, and lemon zest; set aside.

  2. Rinse the shrimp and pat dry with paper towels; sprinkle with salt.

  3. Place the flour in a large, sealable plastic bag; add shrimp and toss until well coated.

  4. In a large sauté pan, heat the olive oil over high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 5 minutes, until golden brown, flipping once about halfway through cooking

  5. Add the ginger mixture, then cook for 30 seconds. Slowly pour in beer, then gently shake the pan.

  6. Cook for about 2 minutes, until reduced by half. Turn off heat; add butter, swirling pan until butter has melted and thickened the sauce.

  7. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
