How to make Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches Au Jus

A rich and hearty sandwich with only little preparation time required. Reap the rewards of slowly cooking in a crockpot while the meat becomes tender in a savory au jus mix broth.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 lb. beef bottom round roast
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1.1 oz. Au Jus mix
  • 2 cup beef broth
  • French rolls, or Hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Remove the top layer of fat on the roast.
  2. Place onion in bottom slow cooker; add roast.
  3. Combine wine, Au Jus Mix and broth; pour over meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low 9-10 hours or until meat in tender.
  5. Slice the meat for sandwiches.
  6. Remove broth from pot (remove onions) and strain.
  7. Serve in small bowls for dipping.
