
How To Make Crock Pot Italian Sloppy Joe
This sloppy joe recipe is full of Italian flavors. Slow-cooked turkey sausage, onions, tomatoes, and peppers are served on a roll with some melted cheese.

- 1lbItalian turkey sausage,removed from casing
- ½cuponions,chopped
- 3garlic cloves,minced
- 1red bell pepper,chopped in ½-inch pieces
- 1green bell pepper,chopped in ½-inch pieces
- 1â…“cupscrushed tomatoes,Tutorosso
- ½tspdried rosemary
- salt and fresh cracked pepper,to taste
For Serving:
- 6whole wheat 100-calorie potato rolls
- 6slicesprovolone,reduced fat, Sargento
- 1cupbaby spinach
Instructions

In a medium non-stick skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat for about 5 to 6 minutes, breaking up as it cooks into small bits until cooked through

Add onions and garlic, and cook for another 2 minutes.

Transfer to the slow cooker and add the bell peppers, crushed tomatoes, rosemary and fresh cracked pepper.

Cover and cook on Low for 4 hours.

To serve, place heaping ½ cup of meat on a roll and if desired, top with cheese and baby spinach.
