How To Make Crab Cake Sandwich

The soft and fluffy buns give this crab cake sandwich a nice buttery taste that enhances the briny flavor of the crab and the creamy mayo-mustard spread.

  • 8ozlump crabmeat
  • 6ozcrabmeat,canned, drained well
  • 1tbspdry bread crumbs
  • 2tspfresh parsley,chopped
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • ¼tspcoarse ground black pepper
  • 1large egg
  • 7tbspmayonnaise,divided
  • ½tspground dry mustard
  • 2tbspunsalted butter
  • 4brioche buns
  • 1medium tomato,sliced
  • 4leaves butter lettuce


  1. Preheat oven broiler.

  2. Mix together crabmeat, bread crumbs, parsley, salt and pepper.

  3. Beat together egg, 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, hot sauce, and mustard.

  4. Combine with other ingredients and mix well. Form into patties and place on a lightly greased broiler pan or baking sheet.

  5. Broil for 10 to 15 minutes, until lightly brown.

  6. Add ½ tablespoon of butter to each brioche bun and toast, then top with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, crabcake, lettuce, and tomato before serving.
