We really like cole slaw, but we don’t care for it with a lot of sugar. This is just sweet enough to be good! People always ask whats in it, because they don’t guess apple.

How To Make Apple Raisin Cole Slaw

This take on the classic slaw gets its sweetness from the addition of apple slices along with the natural sweetness of raisins. It also adds texture to the dish in the form of the crisp apples slices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cabbage head, medium and shredded
  • 1 carrot, medium and shredded
  • 1 apple, medium and shredded
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • salt and pepper , to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl mix shredded vegetables, and add raisins.
  2. In another bowl, mix the remaining ingredients; add to the cabbage mixture.
  3. Add more milk or mayonnaise if too dry.
  4. Chill and serve.
