Easy Pot Roast Recipe

Delicious and easy pot roast cooked in a pressure cooker. This recipe has been around for 2 generations in my family.


How To Make Easy Pot Roast

The perfect recipe for busy people who wants to have a filling meal.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 7 lb cross-rib, chuck, round beef roast
  • 6 pkg beef gravy mix
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • Pepper
  • Seasoned salt
  • 4 stems marjoram, fresh
  • 4 tbsp poultry seasoning
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • ¼ cup olive oil, high grade
  • ¾ cup cornstarch in small bowl, mixed with cold water

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pressure cooker.

  2. Sear roast on all sides.

  3. Cover with water and add all ingredients.

  4. Bring to pressure and watch clock, cook for 1½ hours.

  5. After pressure comes down, lift the meat out, bring to boil, and whisk corn starch mixture until desired thickness occurs.

  6. At this point, you may add sliced carrot and onion if you desire.

  7. Serve with boiled or mashed potatoes.

  8. Meat makes great sandwiches.
