How To Make Hibachi Fried Rice

This Japanese-style hibachi fried rice recipe treats you to a tummy-filling side dish, loaded with peas, carrots, and eggs, for a tasty bite.

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup onion, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tsp garlic, chopped
  • ¼ cup peas
  • ¼ cup carrots, cubed
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups rice, cooked
  • salt, to taste
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, roasted


  1. Heat a wok until it is very hot. Add butter in a wok.
  2. Add onion and garlic and fry for 1 minute.

  3. Add peas and carrots and saute for 1 minute.

  4. Push the veggies on the side.
  5. Add whisked eggs in the wok and scramble them.
  6. Mix the scrambled eggs with the veggies.
  7. Add cooked rice, salt, white pepper powder, soy sauce, and toasted sesame oil and toss well.

  8. Serve hot with yum yum sauce. Enjoy!
