This shrimp penne dish comes with a kick of spice from the tomato sauce that coats plump shrimp and tender pasta! Whip up a batch in just 30 minutes.

  • ¼cupolive oil
  • 1tbsplemon juice
  • tsppaprika
  • tspground cumin
  • ¼tspground ginger
  • ¼tspdried oregano
  • ½tspsalt
  • tspfresh ground black pepper
  • ¾cuptomatoes in thick puree,canned, crushed
  • cilantro,or parsley, chopped
  • ¾lbpenne rigate
  • 1lbmedium shrimp


  1. In a large glass or stainless-steel bowl, whisk together the olive oil and the lemon juice with the paprika, cumin, ginger, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and the cilantro.

  2. In a large pot of boiling, salted water, cook the penne rigate for about 12 minutes, until almost done. Add the shrimp and cook for about 1 minute longer, until it and the pasta are just done. Drain.

  3. Toss with the tomato sauce.

  4. Serve and enjoy!
