  • ¼cupdry breadcrumbs
  • ¼cupmilk
  • lbsground beef,mixed
  • ½smallonion
  • 2clovesgarlic
  • 1tbspparsley,chopped
  • 1tsporegano,minced
  • 1egg
  • 1tbspsalt
  • ¼tspfreshly ground pepper
  • 2tbspextra-virgin olive oil
  • cupsmarinara sauce
  • spaghetti,cooked

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in the milk. In a large bowl, mix the ground meat with the soaked breadcrumbs, the onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, egg, salt, and pepper.

  2. Form the meat mixture into 4 large balls. In a deep nonstick skillet, heat olive oil. Add the meatballs and cook for about 7 minutes over moderately high heat, turning occasionally, until browned all over.

  3. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet; cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.

  4. Serve over cooked spaghetti.
